Wie wird aus einer Pflanze ein Duft?

Für den Destillier-Donnerstag mit der Special Edition Halloween destillieren wir gemeinsam Weihrauch und Salbei. Gemeinsam schauen wir uns genauer an, warum die beiden Pflanzen zum Beispiel als Räuchermittel und Heilfplanzen mit dem keltischen Fest Samhain in Zusammenhang stehen und welche Geschichten sie erzählen.

Der Destillier-Donnerstag ist ein offenes Format: Ihr könnt jederzeit dazukommen, mitmachen oder einfach verweilen. Gemeinsam destillieren wir Pflanzen und erleben, wie aus Blättern, Blüten oder Kräutern duftende Destillate entstehen.

Der Destillier-Donnerstag findet regelmäßig an jedem dritten Donnerstag im Monat statt.

Das Duftlabor ist in Zusammenarbeit mit dem Institut für Pharmazeutische Biologie entstanden und partizipativer Teil der Ausstellung „Pflanzenwissen – Ökologien des Erinnerns und Handelns“. 

How does a plant become a fragrance?

For the Halloween Special Edition of our Distillation Day event, we will distil frankincense and sage. Together, we will also learn more about why these two plants, which are used as incense and medicinal herbs, are connected with the Celtic festival of Samhain, and the stories they tell.

Join us for Distillation Thursday, an open event on every third Thursday of a month. Feel free to drop by, join in or just hang out at any time. Together, we will distil plants and discover how fragrant distillates are made from leaves, flowers and herbs.
