TRA 5 Present Pasts invites applications for the position of:


RESEARCH ASSISTANT
(SHK or WMF, m/f/d, 6-10 hours/week)

to strengthen our audio-visual research team. You will be working closely with our Visual Anthropology Fellow
in documentation and documentary production. This position offers hands-on experience in audio-visual recording, post-production, and research-related media work.

The Global Heritage Lab is a research hub and experimental teaching and exhibition space. Its aim is to rethink heritage from global and historical perspectives and to provide impetus for the transformation of museums and university collections. The Global Heritage Lab promotes the development of innovative approaches to colonial pasts and supports collaborative forms of research and teaching. The focus is on historically suppressed forms of knowledge. The Global Heritage Lab is supported by the Transdisciplinary Research Area Present Pasts, which is dedicated to the transdisciplinary study of interrelationships between current challenges and processes and negotiations of comparable phenomena in the past.

The appointment will be made as soon as possible and for 12 months with the possibility of an extension. Working hours can be negotiated.
