Luisa Runden

As a research assistant for the Confronting Colonial Pasts, Envisioning Creative Futures Project I support Jun.-Prof. Julia Binter in the publication process for the project as well as the press work.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Media Cultural Studies and Art History from the University of Cologne. Using Robert Wiene’s film Genuine as an example, my bachelor’s thesis focused on exoticism and orientalism in German silent film.

Currently I am studying for a master’s degree in Provenance Research and History of Collecting with the supplementary field of museum studies at the University of Bonn. I also spend a semester at Aarhus University where I studied Sustainable Heritage Management. My research interests lie within provenance research, decolonisation and critical heritage studies.
