As a research assistant for the exhibition space of the Global Heritage Lab, I supervise the current exhibition Global Entanglements in the Collections of the University of Bonn and work on the conception, organization and implementation of accompanying programs and events in order to create an engaging and lively space which encourages discussion and critical reflection.
I hold a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Málaga (Spanish, French, Modern Greek), where translation became my gateway to different cultures. During my undergraduate studies, I focused on intercultural dynamics in the Mediterranean region (Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Egypt) and analysed decolonial narratives and representations of race and gender in African literary fiction.
After moving to Germany, my academic interests evolved toward the historical interplay between the Global North and South and its continuing impact on global inequalities. Currently pursuing a Masters in Cultural Anthropology with a specialisation in Museum Studies at the University of Bonn, my main research interests include the biopolitics of digitalisation, the implications of discourses in power dynamics, and the decolonisation of knowledge. At present, I am researching the museological representation of the transatlantic enslavement trade and its impact on the public, critically analysing how museums curate—or omit—narratives that shape collective memory.
