As a research assistant for the exhibition space of the Global Heritage Lab, I work on the current exhibition and on the conception, organization and implementation of accompanying programs and events in order to create an engaging and lively space which encourages discussion and critical reflection.

For my Bachelor’s degree, I majored in Asian Studies with a focus on Korea at the University of Bonn, where I got into contact with global perspectives on culture that differ from a eurocentric worldview. In my bachelor’s thesis I had a critical look on products of Korean popular culture, how they were perceived on a global scale and how this shaped the perspectives on Korean society.

Currently, I am a Master’s student in Cultural Anthropology at the University of Bonn. My interests in this field are both the cultural heritage of the Rhineland, especially traditions such as Karneval, as well as approaches like more-than-human agency that reshape the views of human coexistence with nature.

I am looking forward to deepening my knowledge on global heritage and museums as spaces of ongoing self-reflexion in order to do justice to their role in shaping collective memory and cultural narratives.
